Sundog · KDE Plasma workstation

A bright desktop.
A composed foundation.

Sundog is Frostyard's bootc-only KDE Plasma workstation: a Wayland desktop with atomic deployments below it and deliberate software layers above.

SUNDOG

KDE Plasma · Wayland · bootc only

01

Plasma, deliberately composed

Plasma on Wayland is the offered desktop session, with SDDM, Breeze, and Discover focused on Flatpak applications.

02

Bootc from the start

Sundog ships only through the bootc and OCI path. There is no native A/B Sundog image or channel.

03

A shared workstation baseline

The backports kernel, hardware and container baseline, Flatpak-first application model, and desktop system-extension compatibility carry over from Snow.

A second desktop path

Choose the workspace.
Keep the update model.

Sundog translates Frostyard's workstation choices to Plasma without creating another transport. Install it with Firn and keep host changes in the same reversible layers used across the bootc products.
